The answer is, it is not too late to make a difference but it is too late to think everything is still going to fine and we can sit back and relax.
Climate change is everything that is impacting nature around us. It is not just the release of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. It is combination of air pollution, water pollution and land destruction. Take for example, solid waste generation, we use plastics almost exclusively everyday, however, recycling process is far behind in handling the huge quantities of plastics generated in each city every day. These plastics end up in developing countries and most times than often end up being openly burned. This not only creates deadly toxins that are released into the air but also contaminates the soil and water sources nearby. This example shows how each of our action on one side of the world can make an impact around the world.
I live by the saying in Hindi; "Buund Buund Se Samudre Banta Hai", meaning a sea is created from drop after droplets of water and each droplets count. So, yes it is true that large amount of power lies with the government of any country to make changes, but you should not forget that you as an individual also hold a lot of power. It is never to late to start.
In the next series of articles I would like to bring your attention to different ways we can make a change and how that affects in the long run.
